Malwina Niechcial-McKenna answered on 27 Nov 2023:
I did a-levels in Law, Psychology, French and Maths with Statistics. I then took BSc in Psychology, and an MSc (master’s) in Human Cognitive Neuropsychology (fancy name, basically means a deeper look at brain functions like memory, for example). I then got a job as a Research Assistant in psychology at a university. And I am now doing a PhD in Psychology.

As I think i’ve noted in other questions – in a really weird way, from studying physics and then changing to neuroscience at uni! Then being lucky and getting to do a PhD in the only lab in the UK doing fMRI – functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. My career path is pretty much 75% luck and 25% brains…!

I did my A levels in Psychology, Biology, Geography and Politics (so quite varied!). Then I went to the University of York to study Psychology. I then went to the University of Oxford to do my Masters in Psychological Research. I then worked at University College London and Kings College London as a Research Assistant working on different projects to gain research experience. Then I went back to the University of York to do my PhD in Psychology.
