I love all animals, really I can get overly excited by any one of them, but I do have a special fondness for cats (of all sizes), platypuses, octopuses, and axolotls.

Asian small-clawed otter. Weirdly specific, I know, but when I lived in Edinburgh I used to go to the zoo quite early on Sundays to enjoy the quiet. I had the same jacket as the otters’ keepers, and they used to all come out to greet me (a pack of about 12 or so!) and bark that I hadn’t given them their food yet…I’d always liked otters, but these guys were top ten…
