Imogen Green answered on 15 Nov 2023:
I was influenced by the Covid pandemic, in which our environments became suddenly much less social! Because school was suddenly online, it really changed the learning experience for students. I decided to focus my PhD on how interactivity affects learning, and how learning outcomes can change when teaching methods are altered.

I suppose I was always fascinated by humans and their interactions and I wanted to understand how we interact with each other, how we read other people’s behaviours, and what happens to our behaviours when we find ourselves in crowds such as going to rugby games or concerts.
I once read a study about anonymity which suggested that children going to small schools or schools located in small towns or villages were behaving better than those going to very large schools and that seemed so intriguing to me that I wanted to understand what in the social environment of a smaller or a larger school makes us behave in different ways.
